I’ve had problems trying to capture this morning and as a result, there isn’t enough time to finish that before we leave to film. This means i’ll have to try again tomorrow. I’m going to use premier pro as this is the editing software which I am most familiar and confident with.

We got to the studio for just after 3pm and began to set up for the shoot. I began using the JVC GY-HD100E to film my ‘behind the scenes’ video. I got a lot of footage of the group working together as a team and setting everything up. The set looked really good once it was finished, and the band looked really impressed with it too. We didn’t finish the shoot till around 11:30pm, so we overran by over an hour, and we didn’t leave the warehouse till about midnight. I think it was certainly worth the extra filming time as the group got some really interesting shots.
I didn’t just get footage of the group setting up, I also got some great footage of the group filming the band too. We had a whole vans worth of equipment to use to aid with the shoot. It was the most professional looking shoot i’d ever been on so to me, the whole thing was quite an experience.
Tomorrow i’ll be getting my footage captured before we go back t the warehouse for 3pm to film the rest of the video.

Today we begin filming the music video for ‘Fearne’. We are using the AUCB film studio 3 as our warehouse location. It’s about a 20 minute drive away from AUCB. We are leaving at 3 which gives us plenty of time to set up before we begin shooting with the band at 6. I will upload some pictures later.
The story of the ‘Fearne’ music video, is a well structured idea. The band are playing in a studio, when they slowly disappear, one by one. It then becomes apparent that a girl is kidnapping them and getting them into her car. She then drives them to an old warehouse where she demands that they play for her. At the end of the song, the girl takes a pair of headphones out of her ears, and it then become apparent that she has imagined the whole event.
We aim to be finished filming by 10.

It feels just like I’m going to uni everyday rather than on work placement, But it’s really interesting to work with new people. There are three students on the course, and they have been working with two bands called ‘Fearne’ and ‘The new governors’. They are both based in Bournemouth. Apart from the students, there is George who used to be an AUCB student, Phil Peel, and myself.
The first morning was used to arrange shot lists and a filming schedule for filming with ‘Fearne’. We then went to ‘The Royal Bath Hotel’ in the afternoon to pitch our proposition to use it as a location to film ‘The new governors’ video on Friday. The pitch was successful and we were given a tour of the hotel and rooms which were of interest to us. I found the pitch pretty interesting because I’d never really had to pitch an idea to anyone other than lecturers and other students. We were asked questions on how we would be able to benefit the hotel through the video and other similar questions. This gave me a real feel of what the industry can be like, and it felt really professional.
